Hello, I am Dr. G. I grew up in Los Angeles, CA. After my dental and residency training in Boston, MA, I moved back to LA to be closer to family. I have been practicing in Bakersfield since 2018 and have fallen in love with the community. My treatment philosophy is to deliver high-end, specialized custom-tailored orthodontic treatment to accommodate anyone who desires a beautiful smile!

When I am not seeing patients, I enjoy playing and watching basketball. I spend the rest of my time with my wife, son, and our families and friends. We love cooking and traveling. Sometimes, we just like to relax on the couch for movie nights. I look forward to meeting you and continuing to bring beautiful smiles to all the children and adolescents of Kern County!

Sunwoong Steve Choi, DDS, MD

Hello, I am Dr. Choi. I was born in Seoul, S. Korea, and raised in Los Angeles. I have been practicing in Bakersfield and serving Kern County since 2012. I have worked very hard at my passion for surgery, and I have a clear commitment to excellence while also reflecting strongly on humanism, kindness, and compassion. I am certified to provide general anesthesia to deliver the best surgical care for those who may be anxious. 

In my free time, I enjoy hiking in the San Gabriel mountains and spending time with my amazing wife, Jessica, and our three children, Noah, Evan, and Caris. Thank you for trusting me with your care. I look forward to continuing to serve the children and adolescents of Kern County!
